McLane chats with the students as he
passes out dictionaries. |

Mrs. Sawyers spoke for
the teachers in thanking the club for their gift.
Last year the dictionaries were presented to 3rd
graders later in the year and she told how they
had helped the students (and the teachers) as students
could look things up for themselves. She said, "This
year getting them early in the year is a great
help." The Kiwanis International goal is to
get a dictionary
into the hands of all 3rd graders in the United
States. |
